This is an in-person class 2+ hours in length. You will also receive lifetime access to a video showing the step-by-step process of the bread recipe made during the class.
In this course you will learn:
· What sourdough is
· Benefits of sourdough
· How to prepare a levain
· How to maintain a starter
· Ingredients and tools you will need to bake sourdough bread at home
· How to mix, knead, stretch, and shape sourdough loaves
· Scoring and baking
· Sourdough discards – what to do with them?
The class fee includes:
· 50 grams of our sourdough starter (Matilda)
· 1 Glass Mason jar for storing Matilda
· 680 grams Janie’s Mill Organic High Protein Flour
· 680 grams Janie’s Mill Organic Whole Kernel Bread Flour
· Sourdough baked goods samples
· Recipes: Sourdough bread & using discard
