I love my crockpot and use it several times each week. When I came across a recipe for barbecued chicken wings made in the crockpot, I had to try it! They were so good that I decided to adapt the recipe for chicken drumsticks.
The drumsticks were amazing. I know you will love all the spicy flavor!
Here is the secret to making incredible barbequed drumsticks in the crockpot. Broil the drumsticks before slow cooking them!
After broiling them, you simply toss them in the crockpot and slow cook them until the meat falls off the bones. They are super juicy and tender. Just the way my family likes them!
For the sauce, I combined a few ingredients with my Honey BBQ sauce. It is the same sauce I use in my Healthy BBQ Chicken Wings and Honey Barbecued Meatballs. This sauce is easy to make and everything that you put it on will taste fantastic.
If you don’t have time to make your own BBQ, you can use any store bought variety that you enjoy, and the results will still be delicious.
For dinner I served a salad and paired the drumsticks with macaroni & cheese. It was a simple meal that everyone loved!
